North Brunswick Chamber of Commerce welcomes Thom Kelly as new executive director

The North Brunswick Chamber of Commerce has announced the appointment of Thom Kelly as its new executive director, succeeding Dana Fisher who departed after 15 years at the helm.

“I’m honored to join the North Brunswick Chamber of Commerce and help guide our business community during such an exciting time,” said Kelly. “Brunswick County is the fastest-growing county in North Carolina, and with that growth comes incredible opportunity. My goal is to strengthen the Chamber’s role as a connector and resource, ensuring local businesses have the support they need to thrive while preserving the community spirit that makes this area so special.”

“Thom’s passion for people, leadership experience and focus on collaboration make him an outstanding fit for our Chamber and community,” said Shari Leone, board president of the North Brunswick Chamber of Commerce. “We are thrilled to welcome him and look forward to the energy and ideas he will bring to our mission of supporting local businesses.”

Kelly brings extensive leadership experience and a long-standing dedication to community engagement. He began his career in retail management, spending more than a decade with Gap Inc., where he advanced from store management to district-level leadership roles in Philadelphia and Orlando. During his tenure, he also served as a regional community leader, overseeing community involvement and fundraising initiatives across 125 stores from Boston to Miami.

Most recently, Kelly was part of the team at Live Nation in Wilmington, serving as experience manager, where he focused on enhancing guest experiences and supporting staff through a commitment to service, creativity and teamwork.

Outside of work, Kelly enjoys spending time with his wife, Elizabeth, their two adult children, Elijah and Julianna (“Jules”), and their granddaughter, Charlotte. The family also includes two dogs, Luna and Cider. In his spare time, Kelly enjoys football, live music, hiking, biking and relaxing at the beach.The North Brunswick Chamber of Commerce supports and promotes the business community in northern Brunswick County, N.C.
