Learn More About Our Events
Power Connections is a structured networking and referral meeting held twice each month. During Power Connections meetings, each attendee has the opportunity to describe his or her business in 30-second elevator speech. After all attendees have shared their 30-second commercials, one attendee shares a more in-depth look at their business (or any other business-related topic) in a 10-minute presentation (10-minute presentations are only available to Chamber members). At the end of the meeting, attendees share referrals and testimonials, and submit information on business closed through Power Connections.
- Does Power Connections work? $856,065.08.That’s how much business has been transacted as a result of referrals passed through the Chamber’s Power Connections program in the past three years. Power Connections is about the quality of relationships built and the amount of business closed, not the number of people who attend a meeting.
- When does Power Connections meet? Power Connections meets on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month from 11:45 a.m. – 1 p.m. (details are on our event calendar)
- Who can attend? Power Connections is open to all Chamber members and is designed for business-to-business or business-to-consumer professionals. Non-chamber members may attend two times.
A business after hours is a casual opportunity to meet fellow businesspeople and enjoy snacks and drinks in a relaxed setting after the workday ends. Business After Hours events are typically held at a Chamber member business, and provide hosts with a great opportunity to show off their business.
The North Brunswick Business Expo, which is typically held at the Leland Cultural Arts Center, has something to offer everyone! Admission is free, and we typically attract additional traffic by hosting a shred truck and food truck in addition to holding raffles and drawings.
Consumers: if you live in northern Brunswick County and would like to “shop local,” this is your chance to connect with local business owners. Businesses and organizations represented in 2022 included educational, healthcare, pet services, professional services, computer & technical needs, recreation, relocation, home and garden, and so much more!
Local Businesses: the business expo brings you face-to-face with potential customers! The 2022 expo attracted over 500 people from Leland, Belville and surrounding areas. You’ll also have the opportunity to network with the other exhibitors.
During our annual Kids Expo, children ages 7 – 17 launch and run their very own businesses. The kids develop a brand, create a product or service, build marketing strategy and then open for business. Attend this event and watch young minds marketing, selling, counting money and developing a feeling of accomplishment.
During this annual event we honor our outgoing officers and board members, recognize our incoming officers and board members, and present our annual awards. Awards presented annually include:

The Leland Under the Lights Car Show happens each August, rain or shine. Held near Lowe’s Foods in Brunswick Forest, the car show is free to attend. Over 35 trophies are awarded, including best in show, most unique, and club participation, to name a few. In addition to checking out lots of cool cars, attendees can visit and support the vendors who support our Chamber and dine in one of the restaurants or browse the shops at the Villages in Brunswick Forest.
This annual event features award-winning BBQ, local craft beers, music and a beautiful view at the Brunswick Riverwalk at Belville. The event includes a BBQ Cook-Off in which both professionals and amateurs compete – and which attendees get to enjoy. Vendor spots are available.
